Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Fredonia Police Department to protect the lives and property of the people we serve, to improve the quality of life in our community, and to enhance public safety while working with our citizens. This is achieved by providing fair, consistent, compassionate, and professional police service. We are committed to creating open communications and partnerships within our community. We are committed to identifying and solving neighborhood problems. We will serve this community with integrity, honor and hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards to maintain public trust.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Fredonia Police Department works hard to make the City of Fredonia a safe place to live and work.

Police services are not just writing a report after a crime has been committed; it’s also working with the residents of the city to prevent crimes from happening.

Our Staff

The Department consists of six full-time sworn law enforcement officers which include Chief of Police, five full-time officers, one part-time officer, and one civilian records clerk.
